There really are websites for anything. This one will make any crafter, handi-person happy. In a search for the correct mixture for papier mache I found this one. It's www.thistothat.com As in how do you glue this to that? Who would've thought?

Online shopping

<trackback:ping>http://blogs.provost.org/michelle/services/trackbacks/2550.aspx</trackback:ping>

I have always been one to go straight to the internet to search for things, research things and buy things. But my last adventure in purchasing something online has become a trying experience. I was searching for a particular thing for Julien. It’s a story reader. It comes with its own books which come with cartridges that you insert and when the child turns the pages, the machine reads the story to the child. The reason I thought I’d get this, is because I thought it would be perfect entertainment for the plane, especially since you can plug headphones in – not an option on his My First LeapPad.
Back to my buying experience…I, of course, googled this product and found many sources with varying prices. The best deal was at Linen-n-Things. I could get the reader plus 7 books for 19.99 on sale. That’s the normal price for just the reader and one book. So I thought bingo, perfect. I won’t feel guilty about yet another gadget in this family since I’m getting a deal! So my first attempt (which should have warned me off the whole purchase) the website said that the product was available in one of my local stores and I could pick it up. I felt this was the best option since we were looking at a limited time frame and I would also save on shipping. So I went for it. But they said not to go running to the store until I received an email confirmation. So I waited…and waited…finally 2 days later I receive an email but not a confirmation. Instead I get an email canceling my order!! I was still rather forgiving and seeing as I was getting such a good price I decided I would just order it from their warehouse and pay the shipping. That was way back on the 4th. Here we are January 10th and I’m still waiting for it to be delivered. The whole point of buying this was so that Julien would have it for our trip. We’re leaving tomorrow!!!!!!! I’m crossing my fingers that the tracking for it is correct and it will be delivered today. Needless to say, I will not be buying again from Linen-n-Things! And will be letting them know that as well.
