I just want to cry!

A landmark is going down.  Tavern on the Green in Manhattan is up for grabs.  I once saw Arthur Rubenstein and his wife in the garden room, Liza Minnelli in the ladies.

In 1981, we sat down for Sunday brunch.   The waitress walked up to us as we were being seated so I had no idea what was on the menu.  She was really there for drink orders but little Miss Angela had already made up her mind.  The waitress said what would you like and Angela said orange juice in a glass like that as she pointed to another diner drinking a mimosa from a large wine glass.  Then she proceeded to order a baked potato with butter, sour cream and bacon and chocolate cake with chocolate ice cream.  The waitress didn’t bat an eye.  It all arrived just as ordered and there was one happy girl.
