It's been a week. We had a wonderful holiday with Michelle, Julien and Arnaud in Alexandria. Laid back fun. Julien and Sophia loved playing together.
We shared germs and good fun. Julien had pneumonia, Michelle had the flu, I got the sniffles and now (back in Asheville) Sophia is sickly.

So much has been going on it's been impossible to reflect and absorb it all. The world is so sad tonight. We are having a party, but we keep checking the news. My favorite Law & Order actor died. Jerry Orbach. I'm a huge fan of the show and of him. He made me believe in Lenny. What a beautiful write-up in the New York Times today.
We are glad to be safe and sound, Ger and me ...Sophia, Angela and Josh. We are laying low and celebrating in a very cozy fashion tonight. Champagne, chocolates and Connie the Cow on the tv.
