So, I'm 35. Happy Birthday to me. I love my birthday so as far as I was concerned the day could do do wrong. It was actually a lovely day which consisted of the following divine pleasures:

• breakfast in bed
• a quiet morning
• premiere of Project Runway
• flowers
• cards and phone calls from friends and family
• Hearing Total Eclipse of the Heart on the radio
• A most lovely dinner: veggies, salad, salmon, mangoes....fantastic
• carrot cake
• Lars and the Real Girl - a beautiful movie. I absolutely loved it. I went into it expecting something so different from what I actually experienced. It was tender, surprising, heartbreaking yet funny. Ryan Gosling is beyond talented. And I would follow Patricia Clarkson to the ends of the earth.

Today, Peter and I are leaving the kids with my mom and venturing downtown for the day and night to be together, linger over meals, go to the art museum and staying at the Brown Palace. Looking so forward to it.
