32 Entropy Lane
A place of disorder and randomness, otherwise known as my life

"And what I think of blogs is just this: Some are beautifully written and many are not. But even blogs that aren't necessarily "well" written are great for the person writing them. I am a firm believer in writing-as-actual-medicine. The dark side of blogging is, of course, people can be (and are) just savage and uncivilized, deeply cruel and fully unaccountable. So in some ways, blogging is like drinking — it gives a person permission to be a total asshole." -Augusten Burroughs

How great is that quote?

Augusten Burroughs is one of my all time favorite authors. I have read and re-read everything of his and I never tire of his humor and truth.  I am anxiously awaiting the arrival of his newest, although much darker, book, A Wolf At The Table: A Memoir of My Father.

Also on my bedside table:

I also have the latest New Yorker, as well as boatloads of other mags to finish. My magazine addiction has reached an all time high. I think I'm stepping off that train though and headed into a few months where I mainline books...

A special shoutout to girls who happily imbibe while listening to Innocence Mission and reminiscing about playing mahjong on my computer. I love you and miss you Ferk, Mantel, Wen and Mrs. Z.
