My brother and fam just acquired a yorkie named Rita. How great is that? (RIP to the original Hecox "rita") I'll take a pic and post later but let me just tell you, she's adorable. I need a production crew immediately to film a show about her. She's a big yorkie so get that picture of Joan River's dog out of your head. Rita's butch. She barked at Atticus for 45 minutes, just furious that he would even come near her. This was, of course, hilarious because Atticus is such a lamb, he couldn't figure out why she was yelling.
My mom lives in a lovely little community with trails and lakes and ducks and bunnies. It's insanely cute and we have been enjoying it all in this beautiful weather.
Directly behind my mom lives this beautiful lover.
He (or she??) is a husky and is ALWAYS outside. They have a teeny backyard with no grass and I never see them interact or walk this beauty. It breaks my heart and I've had 2 dreams about adopting this dog. We visit with "husky" as we have named it, every day and he gives us kisses and cries when we leave. People, WHY get a dog if you are not going to love it and take care of it?? I. DO. NOT. UNDERSTAND.
On another note:
Densmores? Are you listening? WE MISS YOU. This is H&F with AG&L and of course, Max the dog. We met Densmores when Finny was 6 weeks old. Leaving them was like leaving family...
Here is a pic from the last day of Finn's Gym class in Sammamish. How great is this?
I decided not to take pictures when Finn ran up every time another kid got a medal trying to yank it off, pissed that he wasn't the only one who got one.
He's taking classes at the same place here and loooooves it. I love that he gets all of the manic boy energy out.
HJ is in cheerleading too and I will post pictures as it is tres adorable. (She wants to be like our Tay!) They all have a hard time doing what they are supposed to be doing because the blaring High School Musical soundtrack infests their bodies and they can't help but boogie. It's so darling.
She is reading and writing like a maniac and has also taken to trying to "teach" her brother to read and do math.
This involves a LOT of her scolding and bossing him around. (Strangely she sounds like me at those moments. Oh wait---) There are times when it is absolutely unintentionally adorable.
They were pretending they were doctors here in this pic. Hadley made the hats. Finn is holding salad tongs, which any respectable doctor knows are invaluable.
This is Hadley with one of her besties, Liv, from WA. She and Liv went to Build-A-Bear and each made an animal before we moved. Then they recorded their voices and put that in the other's animal. Does that makes sense? So Hadley has a poodle that says "Hi Hadley, I miss playing with you!"
HJ turns 6 on March 4 and she's freaking out. All of Denver is aware, which verifies that she IS my daughter. Very exciting stuff.
Peter is coming into town on Sunday for the big event. I am beyond excited to see him. There are no words for how much I miss him. This is the longest we have been apart since we met. It's very odd. Looking forward to your face, my handsome PGP. We love you.
