Today's my Dad's birthday. I've been dreading this day but have been distracted because my most wonderful mom is coming tomorrow so I'm preoccupied with getting ready. Meanwhile "getting ready" consists of making mental lists and thinking of all of the things I have to do without really doing anything until tonight at 10pm frantically.
I have decided that instead of being sad today, I'm going to focus on all of the amazing things that Roger Mansfield Padden brought into my life and be grateful for them. Everything was a cause for celebration. I'm smiling remembering even when someone got a haircut he would say "Happy Haircut!"
I'm going to pop some champagne tonight, toast my Dad and BE GRATEFUL. He would like that. Anytime we talked, he mentioned how lucky we all were to have each other and to live this life. What a legacy.
