Peter did some detective work and discovered our single mother bird friend, with four babies on the way, is not a chickadee at all. She's a dark-eyed Junco.
Upon this discovery, I named her June.
We're having a ball with the recent discovery of our guest and trying ot learn all about her.
The kids and I are usually in the car in the morning at 8:58am when BirdNote comes on NPR. They'll hear the oboe instrumental opening and yell out "BIRD NOTE!!" Finn will proceed to talk through the 2 minute segment about a particular bird and Hadley will shush him the entire two minutes.
Good times.
