A place of disorder and randomness, otherwise known as my life

So I went to my yoga class last night for the first time in MONTHS and it was like going home. My instructor James saw me and started walking towards me with his arms out. "There you are!" he said. We started to hug, my head on his right shoulder, and he corrected me, moving my head to his other shoulder.  "This way we're heart to heart" he said. Aw, total yogi. And completely what I needed. The lighting was low, music was delicious and insence was burning. I let out a huge sigh. It had been way too freaking long. I waved to a few other people I hadn't seen in a while and spoke briefly to James' wife, who wanted us to come to their son's birthday party.

I rarely notice anyone around me and tend to just zone out and focus on my breath but the woman next to me made things sort of distracting. She inhaled very loudly through her nose and then exhaled with sort of a moaning sound through her mouth. I imagined it was the kind of noise you would make if you were asked to move a car with your bare hands. She was also farting loudly at every turn. I kept thinking "Am I in a Jackass episode?"  Despite my gassy neighbor, I loved every second of the class and left feeling clear headed with an all over body buzz. It had been too long indeed. I drove home in silence smiling the whole way.

So now I'm back to my Tues/Thurs (sorry boys night!) class with hopefully more sprinkled in throughout the week when I can find the time. I was just telling dear Meggie that I am a little sore this morning but it is a welcome soreness because I know what it's from. My Lupus aches and pains are so freaking enigmatic and transient that a pain/soreness that I know the source of is welcome.

Next on my reading list: Assasination Vacation. Looks interesting. I heard about it on NPR when the author was on.

I see the sun peeking out. Must go say hello.
