A super secret shout out to my friend Louise whose birthday is today. One of my favorite people. It’s a shame I don’t know the mayor so I could call in a favor and have her be given the key to the city. That would be very cool. Although I don’t know what she would do with a giant key. You’d be surprised though. Truly creative people always do surprise you. That’s the magical part. For my birthday once, she wrote a little something and bound it between two laminated pieces of green paper. It was very Office Depot and looked extremely professional, like it should have last years expenditures in it or something. But it didn’t. It was something much more important. Sometimes when I’m digging through my shirt drawer looking for a t-shirt, digging past my inappropriate Playboy and Hustler t-shirts, I run my fingers over the shiny green cover and remember how good it made me feel and how extraordinary she is. Take it all in and smile today my friend. It IS all about you, even if no one else realizes it.
