32 Entropy Lane
A place of disorder and randomness, otherwise known as my life

The weekend was semi-productive. I didn’t get as much done as I would have liked but that always happens with the dynamic duo underfoot. We all went swimming on Saturday at the gym though, and that was really fun. (yes, I finally joined.) My first foray into the land of working out. Meg assures me I will become a gym rat. I’ve already signed up for the Tuesday/Thursday yoga class. Delish.

Julianne’s party on Saturday night was darling. She had everything all set up and the kids had a ball. It was surprisingly low key. I think I just expected kids to be oozing out of the woodwork and running amok. It was nice.

Movies I want to see: Oh, so many movies…The Constant Gardener, Shopgirl, Capote, Pride and Prejudice, Bee Season, The Squid and the Whale, Loggerheads.

Song I can’t get out of my head: Laurie Berkner’s “I’m Gonna Catch You” (parents of Noggin-ites, you know who I’m talking about…)

Interesting Blog Peter passed on to me: The Abstract Factory – It’s a departure from the usual mindless drivel that I slurp down. Consider yourself warned.

Bag I want this week: un apres-midi de chien

Services I’m craving: eyebrow wax, eyelash tint, highlights, haircut, pedicure, massage…

Hadley wanted to play with Anna Grace the other night. She kept saying “Call Lisa and ask if Anna Grace can play.” I told her that Lisa was probably asleep. A lie to stop the questions from coming. Did it work? No.

“Mommies don’t sleep, Mama.” She said matter of factly.

“Oh really? What do they do?” I asked waiting for the answer, which was sure to be good.

“They just clean the kitchen and stay up all night.” she said staring out the car window while fidgeting with her seatbelt.

Of course that’s what we do. Nice. Note to self: Change perception of mother role in 3 year old daughter’s eyes.

We’re headed over to Densmore’s tonight to do the trick or treat thing for Halloween. Sandquists will be there too which will be fun. No, I’m not putting on the Cheer outfit again. I’m over it and want to wear something where I can let my gut out.  I’m all Halloweened out. It feels like it has been going on for weeks.

3 weeks until we leave for Denver!
