Peter came home early from work yesterday I was so miserable. He then proceeded to be superdaddy while I slept for 2 1/2 hours and then just basically lay around. My equilibrium was off, my skin hurt everywhere, my head was pounding, joints were aching and my throat was starting to hurt. He did all of the laundry, make spaghetti with clam sauce and allthewhile kept positive. I know the kids were bugging him. I had my head on the kitchen table as he was preparing a plate for me and he said “I don’t know how you do this.”
“This” referring to the kids every day. I had no energy but eeked out a “Thank You.” Validation is a lovely thing.
I woke up this morning feeling a little better but not much. My throat hurts far worse today. I’m thinking this is what getting really sick feels like when you’re on an immunosuppressant. I haven’t been sick sick in a long time. Sure, I had colds, etc. but nothing like this. Fun. Plus, the immunosuppressant isn’t working that well because my joints hurt. I’m so tired of this fucking disease. Enigmatic Rubik’s Cube. I always hated Rubik’s Cube. I wouldn’t even bother to solve the damn thing. I just peeled off the stickers and put them in the correct places. I put a call into the doctor yesterday and she had me scheduled for Friday. I called back today and told her that wasn’t good enough. They’re going to call me back. Blech.
On a positive note, I had the car detailed yesterday. Thank God, they came and picked it up and brought it back. Now, THAT is service. I can’t say enough about how lovely the car looks. He had to CUT OUT some of the carpet underneath the seats because there was mold. That is how gross it was. Peter, who was VERY against the whole idea because he is a do it yourself-er, was really really impressed and I got him to say out loud that it was a good idea. I think I am going to try to adhere to the “no drinks except water” rule in the car. We’ll see how far that goes. There are times when I might just pick a messy car over dealing with the whining. After all, I CAN get it detailed again. If you’re in the area and need your car detailed, these people ROCK. Platinum Auto Spa – 206.856.6101
