My sister Meg and her husband Vince left today. Ugh. I miss her desperately. I kept telling her I felt like myself again while she was here. The full color version. We chatted non stop about everything and nothing, ate girly food and watched shitty TV together. I just think she’s great. So is her husband, Vince. They’re funny and smart and in love, which is nice to be around.
Sigh…
So, I’m moping around today. At least it’s sunny out. For this minute anyway.
I was smiling at how easy children are entertained this morning while eating breakfast with Hadley. She said “Mom, when I say ‘water’, you say ‘donut’, OK?” She was giggling so hard she could barely get this out. I said “Ok” and then waited for her to say ‘water’ so I could say ‘donut’ (SO random…) This game went on for about 10 minutes with her replacing the words every now and then and she was just tickled pink. It was the most fun game to her. I laughed at its absurdity and my darling little goof but I still missed my sister.
Oh, and the shitty TV we watched was the premiere of The Bachelor. GOOD LORD. Apparently you had to check your dignity at the door when applying for the show. I was cursing Meg for getting me addicted to it. (Because of course since I watched the premiere I have to suffer through the ENTIRE season. Ha.)
We did manage a pretty good movie though.“Millions”, which I liked. It was dreamy and sweet, if not a bit slow. The main little boy, Alexander Nathan Etel, is absolutely heartbreakingly darling.
